But a new shrimp farming model called Good Aquaculture Practice (GAP) brings about optimism for Ca Mau.

Financed by the Ministry of Fisheries of Vietnam, Center for Quality-Hygiene and Fisheries Veterinary No 5, GAP has been introduced to Ca Mau since early 2004. With supports from Quoc Viet Seaproducts Processing Trading and Import - Export Co., Ltd (Quoc Viet Co., Ltd) GAP has been applied with promising results.
