Since the beginning of 2010, Procimex Vietnam has stopped shipping tuna into Europe. According to a leader of Procimex, the EU’s IUU regulations and documentation procedure demonstrate so difficult that the company had to change its export markets.

EU used to be one of its large tuna importers last year. However, year to date, Procimex has concentrated on exporting its processed tuna products to Africa and the Middle East although the selling price to these markets is lower than in EU.
